Who’s coming
to your door?

The most common question we get from letting agents and homeowners. Here’s exactly what to expect.

Yes — wherever possible we assign you a named tradesman and keep them on your account. Letting agents with multiple properties get a dedicated contact who already knows the building quirks. If your regular is unavailable, we brief the replacement personally and share your job notes.

Every Sorted tradesman holds an enhanced DBS certificate, renewed annually. We carry £2 million public liability insurance on every job. You'll see the certificate number on your booking confirmation — no need to ask.

Sorted navy polo, steel-toe boots, and a photo ID lanyard. They arrive in a marked van, lay dust sheets before touching anything, and leave the space cleaner than they found it. Your clients notice.

No-fix, no-fee guarantee

If we can’t complete the job, you pay nothing. No call-out charge, no wasted afternoon.

“Turned up on time, fixed the boiler cupboard door and rehung three others in two hours. My tenant texted to say he’d never had a tradesman leave the place so tidy.”

Not sure if we cover your postcode? Enter it in the booking form below — we’ll confirm within the hour.

Yes — it's one of our most common London requests. We use specialist hollow-wall fixings rated for screen weight, always locate the battens first with a stud finder, and advise on cable concealment behind the plasterboard. We'll tell you honestly if a wall genuinely can't take it safely.

Minor electrical work: yes — replacing sockets, fitting light fittings, installing dimmer switches. We're Part P registered for notifiable work. We don't rewire whole properties; for that we'll refer you to a specialist and help coordinate.

Victorian and Edwardian terraces are our bread and butter. Uneven walls, lime plaster, sash windows, cast-iron pipework — we carry the right fixings and materials. We'll tell you upfront if a job needs a specialist; we won't bodge it and leave.

Questions about billing

We quote in half-hour increments and won't exceed the estimate without calling you first. If we hit an unexpected complication — say, concealed pipework behind a tile — we stop, explain what we've found, and give you a revised figure before continuing. You're never surprised by the invoice.

Yes: one hour at £65. Most small jobs — a leaking tap, a stiff door, a shelf bracket — fall within that. For multi-item lists we'll bundle sensibly so you're not paying a new minimum for every task.

No. The hourly rate is the only rate. If we can't fix the problem — genuinely can't, not won't try — you pay nothing. That's the no-fix-no-fee promise, in writing on every booking confirmation.

I manage 34 flats across three buildings. Sorted is the first contractor I've used who actually turns up when they say they will. Booked them for 11 separate jobs last quarter — every single one completed same day.

We needed four monitors wall-mounted and cable-managed before a Monday board meeting. Called Friday afternoon. Done Saturday morning. The boardroom looked properly corporate for the first time.

Victorian terrace, nothing is plumb, nothing is simple. He hung six pictures, fixed the kitchen drawer, and re-seated a leaking tap — all in under three hours. Knew his stuff without being arrogant about it.
